Night Veterinary Surgeon (Maternity Cover) – Brighton, East Sussex

Are you looking for: an interesting caseload? working in ECC? a large, supportive team in a modern practice?

Based at a large hospital in Brighton, this night role is focused on being part of a growing medicine and emergency team. You would be taking an active role in managing the large caseload from our branches and subscribing practices.

4 nights on, 8 nights off
Working alongside ECC Night nurses and Animal Nursing Assistants

We are looking for an experienced and approachable team player who has an active interest in Emergency and Critical Care.

About us:

We are a large central Brighton hospital, with 5 fully equipped branch practices and covering OOH for multiple other practices in the Brighton area.

Our Brighton hospital has 8 consulting rooms, dedicated Cat, dog, exotic, isolation and day procedure wards, three theatres, and prep areas, CT, dental suite and  full in-house lab with a dedicated lab technician.

Two dedicated hospital vets manage our hospitalized medical caseload during the day, and handover to the night team including RVN and Animal Nursing Assistant. We have a separate exotics team during the day, so the nights include the care of exotic inpatients.

Our team has multiple certificate holders and colleagues with a huge range of clinical interests and expertise, including referral services for orthopaedics, ophthalmology, advanced imaging, and exotics.

We are committed to continuing the further development of our team members, with ample opportunity for learning and development through dedicated in-house and external CPD.

In addition, you will receive:
