Job Title: Quantity Surveyor<\/p>\n
Location: Brighton, with projects in and around London<\/p>\n
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum<\/p>\n
My client is a leading retail, hospitality, and leisure fit-out company with a robust presence in and around London, is seeking a dynamic and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team based in Brighton.<\/p>\n
Experience in fit out is NOT essential for this role, the right candidate will be presentable and confident in their ability as a QS.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
* Conducting cost estimates and budget preparation for retail, hospitality, and leisure fit-out projects.<\/p>\n
* Collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting.<\/p>\n
* Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier agreements.<\/p>\n
* Monitoring project costs and implementing cost-control measures.<\/p>\n
* Producing regular financial reports for project stakeholders.<\/p>\n
* Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Skills:<\/p>\n
* Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is preferred.<\/p>\n
* Experience in quantity surveying within the retail, hospitality, or leisure fit-out sector is preferred but not essential.<\/p>\n
* Strong understanding of construction contracts and relevant legislation.<\/p>\n
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.<\/p>\n
* Proficiency in industry-related software and tools.<\/p>\n
