Community Fundraising volunteer - General office and administration
Location: Brighton & Hove
This role is not office based and is undertaken in the local area.

Are you an organised and efficient individual who takes pleasure in getting things done? Could you help our local fundraisers to organise events in your area? We are looking for people like you to support our local Community Fundraising team to raise money for the British Red Cross
Community fundraising office volunteers support local fundraising teams in raising awareness of our cause, our fundraising events and our activities. You would be involved in a wide variety of office based activities including contacting supporters, posting on social media and much more.

This could be the ideal opportunity for you if you are interested in gaining experience fundraising and building transferable skills in secretarial and administration practices.
While developing skills you will have the opportunity to promote various Red Cross services, build relationships with stakeholders and support the organisation of events.

Who are you?
If you are looking to join our team, we hope that you are:
- An organised and methodical individual who is a confident PC user (Word, Excel, email)
- A strong communicator, happy to contact people by email and phone
- An enthusiastic team player who can work unsupervised when necessary.
- Available on consistent days/times (to be agreed)
What could you do?
As a community fundraising volunteer, we might ask you to:
- Showcase our work by posting on social media
- Contact our supporters via phone and email
- Help our teams to organise local fundraising events
- Get involved in a wide variety of office tasks
This role is available at your local Red Cross office, within our small local fundraising team. Selected tasks may be undertaken from home.
Reasonable travel expense may be reimbursed by prior agreement with the community fundraising manager.
