Salary: £22.5k – £25k

Hours: 9:00am to 5.30pm

Location: Brighton (minimum of 2 days per week in Brighton office, COVID restrictions permitting)

Our client is an innovative and driven company providing expertise and analytical data products on natural hazards and climate change. Part of a group and voted Water Technology Company of the Year, they are expanding rapidly to deliver their highly accurate, best-in-class data products to the insurance, real estate and financial markets globally.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the company is looking to recruit a Technical Analyst who will be part of the team responsible for predominantly building global flood models and hazard maps. They will be trained to use the company’s Flowroute-i hydrodynamic flood modelling software and perform advanced GIS data processing on catchments around the world.

They will provide technical and GIS support (data processing, analysis, visualisation), collate and analyse data and conduct research. They will also contribute to wider product development activities such as testing, quality assurance and product maintenance (for example, updates and upgrades).

They are looking for a confident, motivated and enthusiastic candidate with excellent interpersonal skills to join their dynamic and positive technical team. They are looking for a candidate who has some experience in GIS but is also an all-round individual who can multitask within a small team, is reliable and easy to get along with.

Requirements (Essential):

Comfortable with GIS Software (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo etc.)
IT Literate
Report writing skills
Requirements (Desirable):

Relevant Degree (e.g. Physical Geography, Environmental Science, Natural Hazards, etc.)
