We are looking to recruit a Female Support Worker* to assist a young woman with Learning disabilities and complex health needs to remain independent.
*Post exempt under The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1 – There is a genuine occupational requirement to recruit female support workers.
Support Worker Responsibilities:
The role is to support the client in her own home and, when she is well, out in the community while taking part in a range of activities. You will be required to undertake duties such as assisting with personal care, meds admin, moving & handling with hoist, challenging behaviours, epilepsy, first aid, and light housework. You will also be required to support client with her communication programme (PODD), for which training will be given.
Support Worker Requirements:
At least two years’ experience in providing support for someone with complex health needs.
All applicants will receive full training to meet the needs of the client.
An enhanced disclosure is required (expense to be met by employer)

Contract Type: Permanent
POSITION 1: 15-25+ hours per week to include every Monday and another day to be arranged. In due course, one overnight a month.
POSTION 2: 3 wake nights per week 11pm to 8am
Salary days – £11 per hour Weekdays, £11.50 per hour Weekends
Salary Wake Nights £11.50 per hour Wake nights Mon – Fri, £12.50 per hour Wake nights Sat-Sun
