Software Analyst – Brighton

Role – In Brief
Analysing client requirements, translating into a specification, and liaising with all parties to deliver
Production and ongoing version control of all software specifications (client & internal)
Ensure business unified in understanding of product, capabilities, and functionality.
Continuous assessment of competitive products to ensure our client remains one step ahead.Typical responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Ownership and responsibility for defining, documenting, and promoting the specification of the software platform to all stakeholders, both internal and external
Responsibility for ensuring the software is in alignment with the demands of customers and the market by liaising between Sales, Marketing and Development teams
Primary point of contact for all initial Sales and Pre-Sales technical consultation supporting Sales & Marketing and Client Services departments as necessary to secure new contracts.
Determine customer needs and use cases by collating research from internal (i.e., Sales, Marketing, Client Services) and external sources (i.e., Events, Seminars, Presentations) distilling into functional specifications for development.
Recommend the capability and scope of present and future software versions by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
Support the internal scheduling, monitoring, testing, delivery, and technical development projects by attending production meetings, defining priorities, maintaining production schedule, and circulating to business.
Continuous communication and liaison with Technical Director for all active and upcoming projects to ensure all delivery targets are achieved to time, budget, and specification.
Ensure all product software is validated (UAT) according to requirements & functional specification and errors are identified and corrected prior to product release.
Maintain constant awareness of market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products, aiding product improvement and sales/marketing effectiveness.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, attending network groups and live events. You will need…

Strong MS Office skills, in particular Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong understanding of SaaS, App and Mobile platforms and principles
Strong understanding of project management tools and principles (i.e., Wrike)
Strong understanding of document management tools and workflows (i.e., SharePoint)
Strong understanding of resource management software (i.e., Wrike)
Working knowledge of CRM, MAP, and social platforms; data, data types, data workflows
Willingness to learn and adopt new software and hardware technologies
