Job Description

Transition & Resettlement and Rapid Rehousing Services

37 hours per week

Do you want a career that is rewarding and helps make a difference to homelessness in Brighton & Hove?

Who Are We?

The Transition & Resettlement team works in partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council’s Homeless services and other key agencies across the city as part of the local strategy to reduce homelessness.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for motivated individuals with the aptitude and attitude to support people with experience of homelessness and complex needs, including mental health support needs, to move into and manage their own homes, make their tenancy a success, and to make positive and lasting changes in their lives.

You will be given your own caseload to manage, and support will be delivered either in the community or in people’s own homes. You will be working as part of a team with an office base in central Brighton & Hove.

The successful candidate will have a dynamic approach to working with people who have experience of trauma, homelessness, and mental health support needs. Flexibility, resourcefulness and resilience are key to the role.

What do we offer

This is a varied role that gives you the opportunity to gain a lot of knowledge and experience of housing and support services, and best practice ways of working. We welcome applications from people either with experience or the passion and ability to learn – we would love to hear from you!

We offer a supportive working environment, commitment to work-life balance, friendly team, and generous staff benefits.

Travel expenses will be paid, either for car users or travel by public transport. Car allowance (if applicable) is £1,000 per year.

Full induction, training, supervision and support is provided for all staff.
