My client is currently recruiting for a payroll assistant for their busy payroll bureau. They are an established, friendly firm of accountants located in Brighton. This is a good opportunity for someone to work within a high-volume processing environment.
You will be part of a small team of 3 people where your main duties and responsibilities will involve:
Assisting with weekly, monthly and annual payroll for over 300 clients
Processing SSP, SMP and SPP
Knowledge of pensions/auto-enrolment
Processing starters and leavers
Liaising with HMRC
Working to tight deadlines
Have good attention to detail
Other ad-hoc dutiesExperience and attributes required:
Good knowledge of payroll processing and legislation
Experience working in a busy payroll department
Able to prioritise and meet deadlines
High level of accuracy
Able to manage own workloads
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office

There is the opportunity to work from home two days a week once comfortable in the role.
