Maths Teacher – Brighton

Prospero Teaching are delighted to be partnered with this large secondary school in Brighton, who are looking to appoint a Maths teacher on a full time, possibly permanent basis from September 2021.

The Role:

This role is ideal for a Maths teacher who is committed to making the subject fun and understandable. If you find yourself relying on textbooks and standing at the front of the class, then this isn't for you. Our school encourage interactive learning and urge their teaching staff to make the lessons, yes even Maths, engaging for all! This is a full time Maths role from September 2021, and has the possibility of becoming permanent after 1 year, should you find you've been successful. The Maths department have a strong reputation among neighbouring schools, and they work as one big team, supporting each other and creating a good learning environment.

In 2017, this school achieved an Ofsted GOOD with OUTSTANDING features. Much of that was down to the ongoing commitment the staff show to engage children in their learning, not only academically, but pastorally as well. Supply Teacher Contract/Position Details

Location – Brighton

Position – Maths Teacher

Type of work – Class teaching, marking, assessment where applicable

Minimum rate of pay – £145 Per day MINIMUM

Hours – 8:20am-4pm (term time only)

Supply Teacher Experience, Training and Qualifications

It is essential that you have QTS and experience working in a Secondary school.

You will need to have taught in secondary schools either in a permanent or supply cover role, or on teaching placement if you are an NQT.

Up to date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.

Strong Behaviour Management skills are a must.

To be eligible for any teaching job with Prospero Teaching, you must;

Hold the Right to Work in the UK.

Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.

Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

Provide two professional child related references.
