YOU will be joining the Charity just after we have launched our new Strategy for Carers for the next five years and will be supporting our team of staff and volunteers to embed this new vision. YOU will help us bring the day forward when unpaid carers are seen, heard, and included. YOU will lead on the further development of our Marketing and Communications Plan and help us achieve its three main objectives:

Education and Engagement
Encourage and Inspire
Visibility and Reach

Marketing and Communications Manager Responsibilities:

YOU will lead on delivery of the Marketing and Communications Plan, including understanding of how it supports our organisational objectives and how we can increase the impact of our work within the allocated budget.
YOU will manage our major Carers Campaigns, such as Carers Rights Day, Carers Week, Winter campaign etc.
YOU will build external relationships and partnerships with industry pro-bono experts, charities, social care organisations and other stakeholders in the fields of communications, PR, and social care.
YOU will work closely with our leadership team to coordinate project specific communications (fundraising, facilities, and carer services), develop new services and drive our objectives forward.
YOU will create and post bespoke high-quality content to relay our messages to all audiences and supporters via a variety of media channels (social media, our website, email marketing, etc.)
YOU will monitor and analyse the effectiveness of our marketing activities and recommend improvements.
YOU will support a team of staff and volunteers with 1-to-1s and OKRs.
Marketing and Communications Manager Requirements:
You are an expert in creating engaging and creative communications / content which can reach our target audiences and raise our profile.
You enjoy writing and researching for key findings from quantitative and qualitative analyses when creating your compelling case (YOU are a bit of a copywriter!)
You know how to connect with people at different levels and how to support a team (have YOU had some people management experience already? Great!)
You can manage a budget ensuring it is invested well to maximise our long-term goals.
You are confident using technology, such as Web Pages, PowerPoint, Graphics and Social Media scheduling, WordPress, Squarespace and CRMs, or are willing to learn.
You can easily travel to our offices and venues in West Sussex if needed, even though this role is primarily home-based.
You have the UK right to work and are prepared to undertake relevant background checks, including references and DBS.
You are looking for a meaningful job that will make a difference to your local community and will enjoy working for a non-profit organisation.
DESIRABLE (NOT ESSENTIAL TO APPLY!)

A good all-round education and a Marketing Degree or Qualification.
A blend of 3+ years’ experience at a Management level, with added experience of strong marketing and communications output within a chartable and/or public sector setting.

Location: Remote – with Occasional visits to Brighton/West Sussex venues
Contract Type: 6 month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: Full Time
Salary: £30,947.00 per annum
