What is the role?
You will be working on a cutting-edge contract, and the big aim is to stop re-offending. Together with their supply chain partners, you will provide specialist support to ensure that people do not re-offend by ensuring that they have a stable progressive release, with support around housing, family re-integration, drug and alcohol support (delivered by partner providers) and employment support (delivered by yourself).
You will work with a caseload of 40-50, which will consist of low-high level risk ex-offenders i.e. sex offenders – so you need to be confident, and adaptable to challenging situations.
There are a range of targets to work to, such as job starts, short courses, work experience, vocational training or general support measures, so you also need to be goal and target motivated with the ability to work independently.
Where will I be based?
You will be based at the nearest probation centre where you live in Brighton.
Access to a vehicle is ideal (mileage is covered at 45p per mile), otherwise, you must be willing to travel.
Who are we looking for?
This is a great career opportunity for university graduates with a background in Criminology/Criminal Studies (preferably with some work experience), however we also would like to hear from those who have worked within the Employment Services sector as an Employment Advisor, Employment Consultant, Job Coach, or an Employer Engagement staff looking for a slight change.
