Full Time Permanent – Mon – Fri (office hours)
We have opportunities for qualified healthcare professionals (nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and paramedics) to become a disability assessor.
The role will involve assessing people through 1:1 consultations to assess how their disabilities and health conditions impact on their daily lives. You will complete a report during each consultation, detailing the factual evidence gained from the appointment, which will be sent to the DWP, so they can ensure that people receive appropriate benefits and support, according to individual needs. (All consultations are currently being conducted remotely.)
You will work with a diverse and complex range of conditions, including mental and physical health as well as cognitive and sensory impairments.
Qualified, registered healthcare professional
Minimum 2 years post-qualification broad based healthcare experience
Good typing skills and confident with IT systems
Can commit to 6 months on the job, fully paid training
25 days annual leave + the opportunity to buy or sell up to 10 additional days
