The school is a popular, high achieving school that services the local rural community of students aged 11-18. At GCSE & A Level , the school offers Fine Art and Textiles following the AQA specification. It would be desirable for you to have experience teaching Art at A Level, although not essential. The KS3 curriculum provides students with a great introduction to Fine Art, with an approach that ignites creativity and imagination. Students explore 3D objects, Collage, Surrealism, Sculpture through carefully chosen themes such as ‘day of the dead’ ‘Andy Warhol’s Pop Art’ ‘Van Gough and Yellena James to capture engagement. Art is integral to the schools curriculum with many students going onto to further study.
