Client Details
Our client is a large reputable business in central Brighton who have undergone tremendous growth in recent years. They are looking to bring back in house credit control, which is currently being outsourced.
Description
Responsible for ensuring that team are invoicing, collecting, reconciling and refunding the payments received for penalty debt/Levies.
Responsible for the daily, weekly, monthly checking of bank/payment reconciliations.
Responsible for the preparation of the transfer to Consolidated Fund file on the cleared and transferable funds.
Support an effective in-house debt recovery service with Debt Recovery Manager.
Manage senior queries, call escalations from Debt Advisors.
Manage a small team of Debt Advisors.
Responsible for the court consideration cases and assessing cases for appropriate action.
Conducting reviews on cases.
Deal with legal defences and liaise with internal lawyers on defences received.
To provide ad-hoc cover and support to the Debt Recovery Manager and other senior roles.
Revenue and debt recovery strategy and processes.
Data requirement specification.
Implementing controls to mitigate operational risks.
Debtor responses within SLA.
Team MI reporting.
Support Debt Recovery Manager with any queries.Profile
Previous experience in a similar Debt management/recovery role.
Numeracy – the ability to deal with numerical complexity whilst maintaining accuracy through checks and controls.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Well disciplined individual who is organised and able to work to tight deadlines.
Intermediate level Excel skills.
Payment methods experience and understanding of the Court Applications process.
Automated collection and process enhancement experience.
Good operational management.
Good awareness of finance and banking controls with sales ledger experience.
Customer contact experience including query and escalation handling.Job Offer
