Job Title: AAT Skills Coach Level 4
Salary: £30-35 per hour
Next Step Apprenticeships was founded in 2019 and we are essentially a training provider specialising in apprenticeship training across the following industries : business, management and various financial sectors. We are based in Brighton and work with various corporate employers, spread widely across the East and West Sussex areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified AAT Level 4 Skills Coach to join our growing team in the heart of the city centre. This is an interesting and challenging role which involves in making a positive difference to the learning experience of apprentices. Reporting to the Quality Director, you will work alongside a team of Skills Coaches.
Plan, prepare and teach lessons according to timetable requirements, including writing a Scheme of Work for each unit taught.
Provide a varied and relevant range of learning activities for students according to their needs and abilities.
Set, mark and assess students' work, providing constructive and effective feedback to students through course reviews and predicted grades.
Promote high standards of student attendance, punctuality, work habits and constructive participation in lessons.
Assessing apprentices progress through regular review meetings with learners and employers in the
Ensure apprentices have Individual Learning Plans and Individual Progress
Identify 'at risk' or poor performing students and work with the team to implement strategies and interventions to enable them to
Ensure all apprentices are ready for end point assessment within the agreed timeframe to enable them to achieve by the expected end
Liaise with employers to ensure requirements of the Standard are being
Liaise with AAT to ensure that any issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
Plan and schedule up exams and assessments on the AAT 'Secure Assess' system and liaise with the Office Manager in advance of each exam to ensure that the exam room is set up in advance of the exam.
CCAB qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ICAEW / CIPFA)
At least five years' previous experience of working in a finance role.
At least two years' previous experience of teaching professional accountancy qualifications at Level 3 or higher.
Experience of writing high quality learning materials.
Experience of preparing students for the Level 4 End Point Assessment (EPA).
Ability to teach all units at Level 4, including the 'Personal Tax' and 'Business Tax' optional units.
To have up to-date practical experience, knowledge and understanding of Accountancy
Excellent communication skills in dealing with staff, students, employers and the AAT.
Administration skills – well organised, able to prioritise, methodical.
The successful candidate will be required to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
