We’re recruiting a Sales Consultant who can ensure that our customers feel special, valued and cared for. You’ll help them to not only discover our ‘feel good furniture’ through providing an exemplary customer experience, but more importantly, listen and help find and sell the right furniture solution to meet their needs.

Salary: £11,026.65 per annum
A day in the life of an HSL Sales Consultant
As a Sales Consultant you’ll be passionately selling our lovingly handcrafted sofas, chairs and beds. You’ll be doing this either in our beautiful stylish showrooms or by visiting our customers in their own homes. Here at HSL it’s important that everyone loves their role within the HSL family – we truly care about you and how you feel each day. A typical day would include:
Sharing your expert product and brand knowledge to help our customers to find the best furniture for them
Carrying out a chair fitting service to support 7 key areas of the body, ensuring the customer achieves optimum comfort and postural support – expert sales and product training would be provided
Encourage a love and appreciation for our fantastic products by having extensive knowledge of what makes our furniture so special
Processing customer orders accurately
Keeping our beautiful stores and products looking fresh, clean and welcoming
Our stores are open every day, so it’s important to have flexibility to work during the weekends as well as weekdays.
The Ideal Candidate
At the very core, you’ll be a people person and have a passion for the customer experience. You’ll love meeting new customers each day, listening to their needs and wants, and you’ll be great at helping them feel at ease quickly and easily. You’ll have empathy and compassion, and be an excellent listener. Our customers are all unique, and it’s important that you approach each one ready to open your heart to them, and allow them to do the same.
You’ll be prepared to take accountability and responsibility for your role as a Sales Consultant. You’ll love spending time with and listening to each customer building trust in the products and the HSL brand. We want our customers to feel delighted with their visit, and you’ll be pivotal to this.
Whatever your previous work experience, we value your individual personality above everything else. If you’ve got relevant retail experience with helping customers find the right purchase, that’s wonderful, but even if you haven’t, we’d still love to hear from you if you’re able to build rapport with customers.
