Job Title: Marketing Officer – Content and Digital Creator
Location: Plumpton with regular working in Brighton
Salary: £22,533-£26,342 per annum depending on experience
Full Time, Monday-Friday 8.30-17.00, where weekend working is required the postholder will be able to swap their weekdays to balance this.
Our client based in Plumpton is looking to recruit a Marketing Officer – Content and Digital Creator. This exciting role will be pivotal to the delivery of the marketing strategy for the organisation. Reporting to the Marketing Manager and building close working relationships with the Head of Marketing responsible for the strategic marketing and the general manager responsible for events. This candidate should have a passion for marketing and an appreciation of the broader media and social media landscape. They should be flexible, open to new challenges and able to work autonomously in a deadline driven environment.
Devise and implement marketing campaigns and activities
Maintain and adhere to marketing and advertising budget, allocating spend accordingly with Marketing Manager.
Book all advertising space for promotions and submit artwork by deadline
Uphold the organisations brand management, maintaining style and branding and ensuring corporate templates are kept up to date.
Provide branded templates and design print on behalf of the team to maintain a consistent house style across all outlets.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with departments and establish systems for preparing and producing information.
Implement marketing and events campaigns in print and digital media.
Manage and maintain contacts list and devise regular news and events communications for e-marketing.
Hold regular meetings with General Manager to plan campaigns for event bookings and commercial activity
Design and write copy for marketing materials for event promotion in liaison with events team
Work with the Marketing Manager to organise and co-ordinate of a range of events, including recruitment events and open days, functions, community engagement, official openings, VIP, royal and ministerial visitsMarketing Research Activities
Gather data from marketing activities for monthly reports.
Develop reporting mechanisms and deliver accurate ROI on marketing and events performancePublic Relations
Play a key role in group proactive media relations by researching, logging, and responding to requests from the media in a professional and prompt manner.
Draft group wide press releases and news for external channels on a regular basis.
Assist Marketing Manager with monitoring of brand perception, brand sentiment and media coverage.
Manage all social media channels, responding to queries and scheduling content and devising campaigns including at weekends
Goal track social advertising campaigns and CTR to website, and bookings.
Maintain and update website content using CMS platform.
Report on Google Analytics in liaison with KPIs agreed with Marketing Manager.
Develop email marketing practices through Hubspot, sending regular communications to drive public engagement.
Support general manager with maintaining profiles and listings on third party websites (OpenTable, Trip Advisor, Visit Brighton).Requirements
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to turn complex material or jargon into plain English.
Excellent attention to detail.
An ability to brief people clearly and succinctly.
Experience of digital marketing including social media platforms.
Experience of producing information for a wide range of stakeholders, including the public e.g. prospectus, leaflets, brochures – including knowledge and experience of commissioning print, design and photography.
Experience of working confidently with journalists proactively and reactively – this includes placing stories and having a sense of 'news'.
Experience of working in complex organisations and delivering marketing and communications campaigns.
A track record of delivering objectives against tight deadlines.
A positive and proactive approach, prepared to generate new ideas and carry them forward.
Prepared to work as a member of the team and on own initiative.
Diplomatic and sensitive. Excellent negotiating skills and an ability to build a rapport and trust at all levels of the organisation.
