CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting now for a Critical Capacity engineer to join the team located in Brighton.
Purpose of the job
This is a flexi role that would suit a diverse person, this is to provide cover and flexibility to support the client business, working hours will vary this will be a combination of nights and days across a 24/7 business operation. You will be working across 3 main sites in Sussex (Brighton & Burgess Hill) providing support and leave cover where applicable. To carry out and not limited to: – planned preventative maintenance, reactive works to building infrastructure/plant, equipment in accordance with agreed service levels / SFG20, respond to site engineering emergencies
1 Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
2 Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the CBRE Permit to Work systems.
3 Ensure that PPM's applicable to the maintenance industry are followed.
4 Ensure that suitable spares and resources available to carry out maintenance of plant.
5 Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices in line with CBRE policy.
6 Actively keep CERM Quantum updated ensuring it forms a natural part of BAU.
7 Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, site operating processes, RAMS and Permits
8 Support the data centre Lead with the production of Change Control Notices across all sites as required.
1 Accountable to Critical Engineering Supervisor
2 Accountable for ensuring all vendors carry out their work in a safe and professional manner monitoring alongside risk assessments and method statements.
3 Accountable for inputting data into CERM Quantum (including shift handover and plant status logs as required.)
4 Accountable for maintaining appropriate stocks of spares and consumables, and ensuring their secure storage and controlled issue
Education A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English and basic Mathematics skills.
Training [Essential] The engineer must be formally trained in mechanical or/ and electrical services maintenance or have some trade background relevant to building services and. [Desirable] City & Guilds 236 parts 1 & 2 (or later) 18th Edition or equivalent qualification, recognised mechanical or building services qualification. [Desirable] Formal health and safety training IOSH, (Not essential, training can be provided).
