Our client are seeking are a Brighton based construction company who are seeking Quantity Surveyor to join their team their growing team.
They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who will be able to help them to continue to offer their various services to the Private & Commercial construction sector.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will be helping undertake projects ranging from large extension & remodels, to the demolition of existing dwellings and the construction of a bespoke new build.
Our client specialise in high end developments and contract values range from £250,000 to £5,000,000. Their services are offered to developers or local authority, they are generally larger and scaled projects where value engineering and cost management is key to the viability of the project. Contract values range from £500,000 to £(phone number removed). They operate om in Sussex and the surrounding areas.
Duties will include:
* Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project
* Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
* Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
* Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
* Measure and value the work done on site
* Pay subcontractors
* Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers
* Select and/or source construction materials
* Write reports
