We are working with a Secondary school in Brighton to appoint an Attendance Officer for September 2022. The school has its strengths and challenges as any school. They strive to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that is flexible and ensures that all students can develop their own personalised path. Whilst the school can have challenging behaviour they have a stimulation and supportive ethos to help students thrive socially and educationally. The school develop the ‘whole child’ and recognise that our young people need a plethora of soft and hard skills to succeed in the ever changing world.
As an attendance officer you will support home/school liaison ensuring the high levels of attendance and punctuality of all students at the School. In addition, you will oversee the accurate completion of school attendance records, analyse attendance data and provide reports to school leaders, relevant stakeholders and other professionals. Disseminate information, both internally and externally , in a timely fashion. Finally, you will liaise with Heads of Year, Child Protection Team and Pastoral Support, to advise on all matters relating to attendance and where necessary take a lead role in developing work processes to improve school attendance.
We are keen to hear from someone who has excellent administrative skills, good numeracy and literacy schools and very good ICT skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
