Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established yet vastly expanding material handling company looking to recruit a new Field Service Engineer to cover their client base in Brighton and the surrounding areas. With a competitive basic salary and a number of other benefits, this is a great opportunity for either experienced an experienced engineer looking to get into a new position with long term earning potential and progression.
Responsibilities
Servicing a fleet of forklift trucks and other warehousing equipment in the Brighton and the surrounding area
Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure all equipment servicing is carried out efficiently
Working alongside the rest of the engineering team to maintain a high level of customer service
Developing a knowledge of the company’s customer base and representing the company in the right manner when attending customer site
Occasionally working on call
Requirements
You will ideally have experience with servicing forklifts in the past however this is not essential. The company would also be open to applicants with experience in commercial vehicles, construction equipment and agriculture. If you only have a small amount of experience, this position could also be suitable for you as the role comes with an element of training and salary is reflective of previous experience. In terms of location, you must be based in Brighton or within a short, commutable distance.
Benefits
Up to £36,000 – dependent on years’ experience as an engineer
Company Vehicle
Overtime paid at time ½ and double on Sundays and bank holidays
Yearly bonus
23 days holiday, rising to a maximum of 30
