DegreeSix is a specialised consultancy working with Residential and Supported Living Adults and Childrens care services. We work placing support workers through to registered managers into these services and work with the best providers of care across the UK.
I am currently recruiting for a Childrens Therapeutic Support Worker:
* Work in a residential home for children with social, emotional, behavioural difficulties, trauma, and complex needs
* Support children to be emotionally and physically prepared each day to attend and engage in their education and learning and gaining a positive experience of education.
* Supporting each child to experience being cared for in a positive, real and meaningful way, and under the guidance of more experienced colleagues, ensure that each child’s basic and essential care needs are consistently met
* Carry out domestic tasks and duties that include cleaning, laundry, cooking, baking, preparing meals, shopping etc.
* Be supported in becoming proficient in compiling and updating Relevant Plans, logging and recording of information

* Earnings of around £10.60 per hour, double pay on bank holidays

* Support throughout the registration process to ensure it is quick and simple
* Variety of shifts including, earlies, lates, long days, waking nights and sleeps
* Ongoing new oportunties and training to develop your own skills and experience
It would be nice (but not necessary) if you had:
* 3 months social care experience
* The means to travel to Brighton and Hove area
* DBS on the update service
Most importantly you must be caring, hard working, honest and passionate about providing the best level of care and encouraging mental and physical development of service users.
