Role: Teacher of Religious Studies
Start: ASAP
Contract: Part time, 3 days Wednesday – Friday until May 2024
Salary: MPS/UPS
Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a popular 11-16 mixed comprehensive school located in Brighton, graded ‘GOOD’ in all areas by Ofsted. The school are seeking a teacher of Religious Studies to join their department as soon as possible, on a part time basis (3 days per week, Wednesday – Friday). The successful teacher would be required to teach Religious Studies across KS3 and KS4 and undertake the responsibility of planning and marking. This role is potentially ongoing until May 2024. This post would suit a newly qualified teacher as well as more experienced teachers. The successful candidate would benefit from a high level of support and continuing professional development.
Ideally you will:
Be an excellent classroom practitioner with an enjoyment of working with young people
Have effective classroom management and an ability to demonstrate resilience in working with challenging behaviour
Have effective time management; able to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines and targets
Be an excellent team player, genuinely committed to working in partnership with others
Be an excellent communicator to a variety of audiences with good interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
Be a reflective practitioner committed to developing own teaching and learning strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
