Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Associate Lecturer – AAT at our Brighton Metropolitan Campus. You will join us on a part time (Sessional Hours – Thursday evenings), permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £18.73 – £32.89 per hour.
The Associate Lecturer – AAT role:
As our Associate Lecturer – AAT, you will will have your own course cohort of Level 2 learners to manage and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the student journey, from course enrolment and induction, teaching, learning and assessment, feedback to students, management of student records, and all associated course and quality related administration.
You will help to enable student progress onto higher levels of study, employment, or apprenticeships.
Key Responsibilities of our Associate Lecturer – AAT:
Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed
Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner
Undertaking administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters
Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each
Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity
Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding
Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector
Participating in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment
Undertaking the delivery of literacy and numeracy
Our ideal Associate Lecturer – AAT should have the below skills and experience:
Level 3 AAT Professional Qualification
Relevant industrial/commercial/subject experience
Working knowledge of Sage
The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing
