Maintenance Engineer
Time 4 Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Maintenance Engineer based in Brighton, working for a well-established company who offers competitive and reliable services within the construction industry. Our client is specialized in residential, education, healthcare, and student accommodation all around UK.
As Temporary Maintenance Engineer your main role will be to work alone with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out maintenance/repair or mechanical/electrical services to plant and equipment across the Site. Work alone or in a team carrying out refurbishments and new works across the Site.
Main Duties:
• Apply relevant trade skills to any allocated jobs as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.
• Ensure the satisfactory, prompt and accurate completion of any associated paperwork/PDA/computer entry as required by the company
• Responsible for the safe operation, planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical/electrical systems, associated plant/equipment installed throughout the Site.
• To carry out mechanical/electrical works as required i.e New works, refurbishment and capital works replacement programme
• To carry out mechanical/electrical repairs and cleaning of mechanical components and equipment as necessary
• To respond promptly and efficiently to plant breakdowns
• To undertake training and qualify as Authorised or Competent Person for mechanical/electrical plant and systems as required.
• Immediately report any potentially dangerous situations for rectification to line manager and the NOC or as appropriate.
• To carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
• To comply with Statutory Testing and Inspection Legislation (BS7671)

Key requirements for the role:
• Previous M&E engineering experience preferred for this role
• Able to comply with company policies and procedures
• Confident self-starter with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Self-motivated and well organised
• To participate in shift work as required
• Required to attend training programmes to meet contract requirements and for self-development purpose.
• Integrate and communicate effectively with the mechanical/electrical, building and fabric maintenance function.
• To support and practice the Company’s Quality Policy and Mission Statement
