Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Brighton, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Analyst on a 24 month fixed term contract on a salary of £40,178 – £52,289/annum. This role will be hybrid working with regular attendance in their Brighton office.
Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage analysis the project within the organisation, coordinating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries, including managing expectations and engaging / obtaining buy-in from multidisciplinary teams.
– Proactively identify, design and deliver analysis of complex data sets to inform the delivery of the project, including making recommendations on the basis of your analysis.
– Responsible for identifying the most appropriate analytical tools, data and inferences to inform and develop insights.
– Independently deliver a range of analytical outputs, in a range of delivery formats, each best suited to the audience.
– Collaborate with analytical colleagues at partner organisations.
Essential Skills:
– Strong, relevant experience of undertaking data analysis, preferably within a regulatory/financial services environment. Relevant analytics skills such a statistical analysis, dashboard creation and scenario modelling.
– Can use analysis to provide actionable insight, scoping a business problem to identify the analytics required.
– Proficiency in application of SQL, R and Power BI (or similar).
– Able to robustly evaluate data sources for suitability, reliability & accuracy for inclusion in analysis.
– Experience manipulating data in SQL and quickly getting up to speed to understand the contents and structure of a complex data warehouse.
– Able to co-ordinate and collaborate with stakeholders, as an analytical expert, to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
– Possesses strong communication skills to be able to disseminate complex analysis clearly and arcuately across the organisation to a non-technical audience.
Desirable Skills:
– UK financial services industry knowledge and experience.
– Practitioner level knowledge of Git, AzureDevOps, and AGILE or Dev/DataOps workflow methodologies.
