Our client is looking to recruit an IT Manager to join their friendly team based in Brighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for punctually deliver IT requirements and assistance and work with stakeholders to create a strong technology strategy.
The ideal candidate will have strong IT knowledge, be a confident communicator of IT concepts to a non-technical audience and must have a passion for customer focused IT support.
Responsibilities
Manage the IT team and ensure each team member delivers work in line with departmental plans so that the overall business objectives are met
Alongside senior management team, define an IT roadmap to further the overall company strategy, including opportunities to enhance performance processes using technology
Prioritise and monitor projects to align with business requirements and ensure an environment of continuous improvement is promoted
Manage and control the IT budget be that capital spend or use of inhouse and external resources
Procure new hardware, applications, or development resources as required, and able to negotiate appropriate contracts with a range of suppliers
Provide support to IT team where escalation is required, otherwise be capable of directing to or providing alternative sources where solutions can be found
Work with the Development Manager in ensuring an effective working relationship between IT Development and IT Support
Ensure all IT infrastructure is robustly documented
Regularly review team members individual performance against agreed objectives, ensuring any training needs are captured and skill gaps addressed
Motivate team members to ensure IT projects are delivered efficiently and effectively
Host regular sessions with the teams to ensure ideas are being heard and new ideas considered for operational efficiencies, security awareness and customer experience
Demonstrate a passion for providing customer focused IT support and instil this into team members
Encourage and support professional development of team members
Represent the IT team across the business
Create effective, cross functional working relationships with all areas of the business
Demonstrate 'Role Model' values, behaviours and attitudes
Requirements
Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure e.g. networking, server technology (VMware, Windows Server), backup technology, desktop computing, VoIP
Security first mindset ensuring best practices are being followed and be driven to constantly improve our security posture
Strong communicator of IT concepts to a non-technical audience
Able to prioritise support requirements across the business
Passionate about customer focused IT support
Possess a drive for change, and consistently looks at 'what could be'

Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 per annum (pro rata)
