About the role:
As our new Business Development and Stakeholder Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with new and existing customers, building a strong sales pipeline and lasting relationships with various stakeholders on an international scale.
This is a hybrid role, at our offices/co-working space or remotely but within easy travel distance to Brighton & Hove.
Key Responsibilities:
Work on a global level to identify, engage and build relationships with prospects and customers to build a strong sales pipeline for our business
Qualify customer challenges, opportunities and requirements
Work with our team to create bespoke solutions and draft proposals that help our customers achieve their vision
Negotiate and close deals with new and existing customers
Identify and manage decision makers, influencers and other relevant stakeholders within and for projects
Work across multiple channels (e.g. online and in-person meetings, LinkedIn, events, conferences)
Develop existing customers to build lasting business relationships, long term value and increase revenue
Find and attend relevant business, education and networking events online or in person internationally
Work closely with our team to develop and implement sales, marketing and business development strategies as well as new products and services
Be the strategic link between our customers and our project team to coordinate implementation, guarantee project success and maximise the customer experience
Depending on team and project work we usually meet 2-3 times per week in the office but this role also involves international travel
Required experience:
Ability and experience to understand and work with customers, partners and other stakeholders across multiple industries, disciplines and on a global level
Strong speaker, communicator, networker and listener
Experience to engage with higher management but also with other roles across different departments
Strong ability to spot opportunities and identify challenges
Thinking outside the box, being a creative systems thinker and a problem solver
Proven track record in building sales pipelines, closing deals and delivering customer value
Analytical skills and paying attention to detail
Strong leadership, people and relationship management skills
Experience working with LinkedIn and CRM systems
Strong team player, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams, externally and internally
Good time and project management skills
Strong English language skills in speaking and writing, additional language skills would be a bonus
Bachelor's or Master's degree
5+ years work experience within a similar role
