HybridThe you will be supporting the Financial Assessment team for Adult Social Care which is responsible for assessing charges payable by service users for care at home and in residential care homes. candidates must be aware that they are likely to be dealing with vulnerable people on the phone with a social care background.
Duties will include:
Providing administrative support to Financial Assessment Team including updating the financial database with charges for care services, processing referrals from social care professionals and adding details to the client database Telephoning and writing to clients and their families to carry out financial assessments, dealing with incoming post and scanning to the document database.
Covering incoming telephone enquiries and other duties.
Candidates will have:
proficient IT and writing skills
Great arithmetic skills
Strong good telephone/communication skillsIdeally you will have some experience of working in a local government or other public sector environment that involved working with people claiming benefits or using services. Previous experience of working with financial systems is desirable well as having good literacy and numeracy skills, you will need good verbal communication skills and the ability to empathise with vulnerable people who have care needs.
