We are currently recruiting for a part time Cleaning Supervisor to start as soon as possible!
Previous experience as a Cleaning Supervisor is required for this role.
Details about the role:
Temporary role
Hours: Monday-Friday, 5:30AM-10:30AM
Salary: £21,630 pro rata
Part time, 25 hours per week This role will involve leading a team of cleaners ensuring that they know the importance of their role within the work place working effectively and efficiently to a high standard. Providing a first point of contact to all stakeholders taking the lead in agreeing service levels and monitoring our service provision.
Responsibilities:
To supervise a team of cleaners. Inspect completed work for standards of quality, monitor and report staff performance, as required.
To work with the Premises Officer to develop and maintain the use of quality control systems to ensure a high standard of cleaning.
To train the cleaning team in all aspects of cleaning including in the use of buffing/scrubbing machines, hard floor and carpet cleaning machines etc.
To ensure all aspects of health and safety in areas such as COSHH, Electrical Safety, Manual Handling, PPE, etc, are observed and implemented. Keeping the appropriate records in accordance with university procedures.
To organise the works identified as part of the annual cleaning programme.
To facilitate access issuing keys and/or cards, as appropriate, working with site staff to maintain a secure environment.
To monitor and control the ordering and inventory of cleaning supplies.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Experience within a previous supervisory cleaning role
A good working knowledge of safe working practices and health and safety legislation.
A proven commitment to working effectively and efficiently to a high standard.
Adept at the use of computers and have IT skills including word processing, excel, email and associated packages.
A good working knowledge of general and specialist cleaning operations.
