Sussex Teachers are working with this innovative and successful all-through College in East Sussex. The two-form entry primary phase opened in September 2019, and the school have now completed the brand-new start-of-the-art development of their secondary site. New facilities include a three-storey teaching block containing 22 classrooms and SEND hub, a fully refurbished Post 16 Learning Centre and a floodlit all-weather sports pitch to complement their already extensive sports facilities.

Due to the continued growth of this successful college, the English Department requires an enthusiastic English teacher with excellent aspirations and classroom management skills. You will have the opportunity to teach up to GCSE level, across a range of abilities. Progression to teaching A Level Language or Literature is also an option for the right candidate. The college has a long-standing record of supporting its GCSE students to make good progress and also have an excellent record of results at A Level Language and Literature.

You will be joining an experienced, motivated and supportive team, who regularly share ideas and resources and are committed to achieving excellence for our students and promoting a love of reading and appreciation of a diverse range of literature. Lessons are structured to provide stretch and challenge to all students, regardless of their ability level.

The department is situated in a brand-new building with excellent resources and the department has well-developed schemes of learning as well as currently developing an all-through curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students to become avid readers, confident orators, and express themselves through writing.
