Academics are looking for committed individuals to work closely with class teachers in supporting groups of pupils. You will have access to in-school CPD while gaining 'hands on' experience in working in a SEMH school setting
Applicants should have a good level of education and should be able to help students in a wide variety of subjects. Experience of supporting young people would be an advantage, but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.

Working with teachers, therapists and other support staff to implement care plans
Remaining calm and resilient when dealing with challenging behaviour
Developing rapport and a demonstrating a genuine interest in the children
Supporting with academic exercises as well as play
Prioritising safeguarding of the childrenExperience:
GCSE Maths/English
Experience of working with young people essential
Experience of working in an education environment preferred
Experience of working in and contributing to a team
An understanding of learning and/or physical difficulties preferred
