Our client based in Brighton is an IT Solutions provider who are looking for an International Payroll Specialist to ensure that client's payroll is processed accurately while guaranteeing that the organisation meets legislative regulations. As an International Payroll Specialist, you will be working directly with client payroll and HR Teams.
The International Payroll specialist will be an expert in all aspects of EMEA, client country legislation for T&A and payroll. Keeping up to date with changes in legislation affecting clients and keeping them informed. The role will ensure that all process and procedures relating to the clients T&A and payroll are reviewed and maintained regularly.
Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert on EMEA payroll legislation, providing support to clients and the company as needed, including but not limited to EMEA country and region legislation for:
Contracted hours regulations
Contract types
Calculations used for conversion of contracted hours (day/week/month/year)
Shift rules (breaks, rest period, etc.)
Hours limits
Specific age regulations
Rules for absence accrual (i.e., vacation)
Statutory holiday regulations
Premium hours rules (late night working, working on Sundays)
Payment cadence(s)
You will also be responsible for:
Working with the Services team, understanding the client's business and payroll needs, and understanding their current processes and aligning with the company
Develop project plans and timelines for implementing client payroll exports and interactions with HR/payroll systems or processes
Assist the Services team in preparing required SOWs to implement the client's payroll exports and interactions
Assist in the testing and validation of T&A and payroll implementations and exports
Support and configure application Zone Rules according to client specifications, ensuring data integrity and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Generate reports and analytics to help clients understand their payroll data and make informed decisions about their business
Stay up to date on changes in payroll law and regulations in EMEA and advise clients accordingly
Always maintain the confidentiality of client information
Required Skills/Qualifications
5+ years' experience in a retail environment
3+ years' experience in payroll processing and administration
Expertise in EMEA country payroll and T&A laws and regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an aptitude for learning new software and systems
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Desired Skills/Qualifications
Ability to speak German and other European languages, an advantage
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation, Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or equivalent
Degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field
Job Title: International Payroll Specialist

Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum
Full Time: Monday – Friday
