Head of Property Management (Block) – East Sussex – £55-60k package
We’re working with a multi-office, independent ARMA-Q accredited, reputable managing agent who oversee a mixed, long retained and well-run portfolio of blocks (and unadopted roads) from Brighton to Eastbourne who require a new Head of Property Management / Head of Block Management as follows:
* To oversee a team of Property Managers & Assistants, working closely with the MD on business strategy and key decisions
* Managing key clients, providing technical advice and guidance where required
* Oversight of the property management function generally, though not responsible for any particular block/portfolio directly (with the exception of Handovers etc. if required)
* Input across property management process generally, bringing improvements to systems and approach for the benefit of the business, clients and leaseholders
* Liaison with other in-house teams (Surveying, Accounts etc.) as required
The suitable Head of Property Management / Head of Block Management will:
* Come from a stable career background having demonstrated sound commitment to employers throughout
* Live within range of East Sussex (although attendance at the office every day is not required)
* Hold professional qualification (IRPM/RICS etc.)
* Have a track record in key client retention, staff management and excellent technical knowledge
* Prefer independent practice over corporate employment where contributions/involvement in all aspects of business/clients are expected
Salary for the successful Head of Property Management / Head of Block Management is open to negotiation but will include:
* A basic up to £45k (some movement on this figure potentially)
* 10% Commission on major works/any additional fees brought
* Company Profit share (typically falling between £10-15k annually)
* Pension
