Financial Controller Permanent

Our client is a digital advertising agency who are looking for a Financial Controller to join their dynamic team in Brighton on a hybrid basis. You will work in the office from Monday – Wednesday, and remotely from Thursday – Friday. As a Financial Controller you will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and management of the company, working with senior management to provide financial insights, support decision making and developing strategies to drive business growth.

The successful candidate must have a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and three years post-qualification experience. As a Financial Controller you must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and consider yourself to have strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Developing and implementing financial controls, policies, and procedures
Overseeing the preparation of accurate and timely financial information
Analysing financial data to provide insights into business performance
Managing budgets and forecasts
Overseeing internal and external audits
Guiding tax and regulatory compliance
Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, investors, and regulatory bodies

Requirements

Required:

A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Strong technical and financial accounting knowledge (UK GAAP, IFRS)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience managing a finance team
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial systems

Desirable:

Experience in media agencies
Digital publishing

Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Brighton (Remote Thursday – Friday)

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Full Time: Flexible working hours between 8am – 6pm
