Ruby Engineer (Remote Working)

They are a PHP development team, however after recently acquiring a new company (a site written in Ruby) they’re looking for a Ruby Engineer to join them and take ownership for development relating to this site, whilst sharing your knowledge and upskilling the current development team.
You’ll be working in one of their cross-functional scrum teams, reporting to a senior engineer, contributing to the scope, technical design, development and delivery of new and existing solutions.
This role would suit someone who;
* Is proficient in Ruby development and eager to take on a pivotal role being the ‘sole ruby engineer’
* Is comfortable writing JavaScript and CSS/SASS
* Is familiar with designing SQL queries with MySQL /Postgres etc
Any experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins would be really beneficial along with any AWS/Docker experience too.
They are a company that care about employee development, wellness and importantly work-life balance. It’s a 37.5 hour working week and it can be a purely remote based role. They meet up as a company in the office (Brighton) for around 4 days every three months.
