Title: Accommodations Coordinator – Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £23.5k Per Annum
Our client based in Central Brighton are seeking an Accommodations Coordinator to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting any concerns relating to a student aged under 18 to the Designated Safeguarding Lead/ Principal.
Duties:
Arranging visits with new applicants based on their location and general suitability (based on information provided on hosts application form)
Arranging revisits of existing hosts who have not been visited for 2 years
Typing up visit details and filing
Contacting referee to obtain mailing address and generating letters
Maintaining spreadsheet and files for Host References Returned for Changes and Complaints
Informing hosts of taxi transfer details and arrival information of students
Contacting agents/students to obtain arrival details
Emailing agents/students one week prior to student arrival to check visa situation
Maintaining spreadsheet for hosts fire risk assessments, gas safety checks and declaration forms
Assisting the Accommodation & Welfare Officer with updating and maintaining records of all information received with regard to Under 18s (for example chasing receipt of Parent Consent forms from agents and students and keeping track of sending copies of Parent Consent Forms to hosts)
Running weekly reports of contact details and next of kin of students under 18 years of age in Accommodation & Welfare Officer's absence
Providing welfare advice for students and meeting with them during their first week in Accommodation & Welfare Officer's absence
Running quarterly forums for students together with Accommodation & Welfare Officer
Dealing with all accommodation and welfare administration to do with students in Accommodation & Welfare Officer's absence
Any other administrative supportExperience Required:
Strong customer service experience
Highly organised
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Clear and professional telephone manner
Experience in property (completing property viewings or similar) desirable but not essential
IT literature – good knowledge of Microsoft packages (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm but can be flexible (8am-4pm or 9am-5pm)
