Supply Chain, Planning and Buying Manager – Manufacturing and Engineering

Location: Hailsham – Eastbound – Brighton

Summary: My client is an organisation in the manufacturing sector focusing on innovation and transformation of engineering solutions, especially in CNC machining, design, welding. The role: The role would require a strong planning background in the manufacturing space with experience of managing a team. Ideally someone in the similar sector (Engineering and Manufacturing).

Responsibilities:

Be responsible of the end to end planning process in the Supply Chain department
Responsible in managing the planning and buying team
Maintain and own the master schedule with customer requirements
Developing a supply chain capable of delivering to the master schedule with outstanding quality and on time delivery and lead time performance including managing supplier scorecards
Responsible for the supplier negotiation and ensure security of supply
Develop strategic procurement initiatives to drive year on year price improvement in the supply chain

What you need to succeed:

At least 5 Years experience in the end to end Procurement Planning, production role
Having the buying experience is a plus
Experience using MRP system in the manufacturing industry
Have at least 3 years of experience managing a team
Strong communication skills with good attention to detail
Supply chain background in the Industrial Manufacturing and Engineering site will be preferred
