Search Healthcare has a great opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Clinical Lead (RGN) to work with with within a beautifully appointed new Hospital in Brighton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of mental health nursing and be registered with the NMC.
This role is leading on shifts and will be 3-4 full day shifts per week on an enhanced hourly rate.
To be responsible for the development and maintenance of clinical governance within the Service. The Clinical Leader will support with the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients and support the Hosptial Managementin the management and development of the Demential Nursing Unit. To lead the shift and ensure the promotion of a person centred service and to deputise in the absence of the Hospital Manager.
To lead, manage, mentor and coach a team of employees and volunteers ensuring that the Company's people management policies, procedures and processes are implemented and provide a professional, efficient and effective handover to all team members. To include regular supervision, performance management and appraisal.
To act as a named nurse to residents, ensuring the philosophy of personalisation and coproduction is central to the process in order to ensure social inclusion and people reaching and maintaining their full potential.
To lead on the setting, monitoring and evaluation of standards of care and clinical audit and contribute to the clinical governance processes in line with company policies and procedures.
To adhere to current statutory responsibilities including the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) Professional Code of Conduct, Medication Act (1968); National Service Frameworks, The Care Act, 2014 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010, and the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2014., good practice guidance (e.g. Nice clinical guidance), and clinical governance arrangements
Requirements of the Unit Manager:
You will be a registered mental health nurse and will have a valid NMC pin
A genuine commitment to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct and expanding your professional development
Experience of supervising staff, including providing Clinical Supervision
Experience of working within the field of learning disability and mental health
Experience of dealing with behaviours that challenge the service and positive programme approach to aid facilitation of a therapeutic environment
Experience of planning, monitoring, auditing and evaluating work to meet objectives
