1st Line Infrastructure and IT Support Technician

Position: 1st Line Infrastructure and IT Support Technician
Location: Brighton, East Sussex (Currently a mix of office and remote working)
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £18,525 to £21,000 per annum, based on experience

About you:

Are you looking to begin a career in IT service support? If so, this role will give you hands-on experience and responsibility for the setup and maintenance of our devices and network systems. Playing a crucial part in enabling the business to operate and deliver to our clients.

As a 1st Line Infrastructure and IT Support Technician you will be the first point of contact for technical service requests from your colleagues. You will log and maintain service tickets and provide diagnosis and resolution. Working closely with your team to escalate more complex issues with an emphasis on delivering a high level of service with first time fixes to agreed turnaround times.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

– An IT related qualification, which is equivalent to A-Level or above.
– An understanding of how to build and configure new PCs.
– Enthusiasm and application to learning and self-development in this sector.
– A good understanding of and experience in using Active Directory, Office 365, Windows 10.
– Ability to prioritise and manage your workloads to meet agreed deadlines.
– A positive and engaged approach to work with a focus on collaboration.

Work experience in a similar role such as helpdesk support or customer service is beneficial but not essential so long as you meet the above criteria.
