Science Teacher

Job Description

Location: Brighton, East Sussex 

Start Date: September 2024 

Key Responsibilities: 

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Science subjects to students of varying abilities. 

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters academic growth. 

Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development. 

Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, resources, and teaching strategies. 

Participate in departmental meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required. 

Requirements: 

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. 

Specialism in Science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or combined sciences). 

Experience teaching Science at the secondary level is desirable but not essential. 

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education. 

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
