Job Description

Job Title: PA/Secretary Location: Brighton Salary: £21,000 + depending on experience Our client, based in the heart of Brighton, are a leading, high end fashion retail provider, established for nearly 40 years and one of the first independents to bring labels to the UK. They offer an exceptional personal customer-based shopping experience which in turn has given them an enviable reputation and they have continued to grow throughout Sussex and on into London and the rest of the UK. There are now 6 stores in Brighton. Responsibilities: * Dealing with inbound calls and answering calls where possible, taking messages * Maintaining diaries, arranging appointments, preparing travel itineraries, including flights * Filing and organisation of paperwork etc * Organising and servicing meetings (producing agendas and taking minutes) * Managing databases and ensuring details are kept up to date * Sorting through, organising and responding to correspondence both via email and by post and online * Completing general office tasks in the office * Managing shop rota * Maintaining up to date records of all employee information including holidays, sick days etc * Processing invoices * Maintaining up to date records of all employee information including holidays, sick days etc * Basic bookkeeping and accounts payable * Ensuring that online finance reports are correct * Maintaining up to date records of all company expenses * Preparing invoices for accountant for VAT and tax * Preparation of documents required by accountant including payroll etc Requirements: * Highly proficient in Microsoft programmes especially Excel * Basic bookkeeping experience – Sales & Purchase Ledger * Strongly numerically minded * Experience in handling sensitive information in a discrete manner * High attention to detail * Able to work in a multi-function role and fast paced environment * Excellent communication skills both verbally and written * Supportive and reliable * Office Management/PA experience Desirable: * Retail industry experience
