I'm looking for a tutor to work in a primary school in Brighton, so if this role interests you then please keep reading!

Randstad have been approved by the government as one of their tuition partners to support the National Tutoring Programme. We currently work with the primary schools in the Brighton area, supporting them with their day-to-day, longer term and permanent cover. Each school in the area is unique, ranging from half form to four form, village schools to academy trusts, infant schools to junior schools. Every school is different and we will support you to find your perfect fit! Due to the outbreak of covid-19 all teachers will be assigned to a supply bubble based on your local area to limit the potential spread of the virus.

This role will involve supporting children in Year 4 on a 1:1 basis for 4 days per week to raise their attainment, particularly in maths. The ideal candidate will have previous intervention or tutoring experience with primary children aged 7-11. They will also have knowledge of SEN such as autism, ADHD, aspergers and dyslexia/dyspraxia.

Key responsibilities:
Providing personalised plans to support each child
Supporting children to raise their attainment in maths and English
Keeping up-to-date records of students progression and learning

Requirements:
Please note that candidates who do not meet the essential criteria for this role will not be considered.
Essential:
Knowledge of the EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 curriculums
Experience working with children
2 references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
Desired:
A job history for the last 10 years
An up-to-date DBS on the update service
Experience teaching/tutoring in a UK primary school
