Paid Search (PPC) Strategists are leaders within the Search team and take on leadership/line management responsibility as a key part of their role, as well as creating advanced PPC strategies that are tailored for our clients' needs. This particular role will focus on two of our largest clients, with whom we have long-standing relationships with and so will suit someone who has experience managing PPC strategy for consumer brands and can also take a holistic view of performance marketing, not just think from a paid search perspective. Day to day: Creating enterprise level PPC strategies for our clients to deliver against client objectives Creating and briefing a pipeline of PPC tasks to develop an account with fresh ideas and thinking Keeping up to date with search news & sharing opinions on industry developments within the team and with clients, providing your viewpoint of changes Mentoring your analysts to ensure that they develop a wealth of experience within PPC, Paid Media and Search Providing top level insights to clients on current performance and areas to grow in the future Leading a virtual team within iCrossing to develop a niche area of Search, including the creation of new processes, templates and deliverables as well as best practice Lead the up-selling of existing clients (and assist with pitching for new clients) with additional services and solutions Working on-site with clients to assist in building trust and relationships with PPC managers client side Working with Paid Media experts internally or at a third party agency to deliver parity across Paid Media channels for our clients Work with a SEO counterpart either internally or at a third-party agency to drive Total Search results for our clients Your skills and abilities To succeed in this role, you’ll need a combination of leadership, strategic and problem solving strengths. Your core competence will be in understanding the dynamic PPC landscape – and knowing how to form a PPC strategy to maximise client results. You will be flexible in your approach and always searching for new solutions and new techniques. You will have 3 - 4+ years of delivering PPC strategy for clients, ideally with line management responsibility Experience managing large budgets for enterprise clients An expert across bid management tools, ideally SA360/DoubleClick Proven team leader with the ability to mentor, assist and develop the analysts within your team You’ll be an expert in advanced keyword research techniques to broaden client generic campaigns. You’ll be Adwords certified A strong grasp of PPC tools and analytics packages Examples of touch points with other areas of iCrossing You will sit in a client group, collaborating with members from all departments including client services, SEO, Paid Media, Research & Insight and Creative daily. This may also include international offices. You’ll line manage up to 2 - 3 PPC Analysts.
