This is a great opportunity for a tester with a software engineering way of thinking! You'll have either basic automation knowledge or an enthusiasm for automation and a will to take it further. You'll work in our Kineo Client Service team to ensure successful execution of testing is carried out for client facing bugs and change requests. You'll also maintain and monitor ongoing regression test packs for clients, including being part of the test automation strategy for such regression. About The Role The Tester will undertake a range of tasks associated with the ongoing support of existing client systems and their change requests and bug fixes. So you'll typically be involved in: The testing, reporting and verification of issues identified throughout products and services created and supported by Kineo Servicing a queue of client facing change request and bug fix testing and verification Working closely with Client Services Engineers and Account Managers Creating and executing test scripts in a Gherkin format Handling day-to-day Client Services queries, requests and estimations of work Ensuring knowledge of Kineo products and their features is maintained and that you raise awareness of training needs that would otherwise affect the quality level of services delivered Ad-hoc testing projects or tasks relating to Moodle / Totara development as agreed Working with a Behat PHP test automation framework using existing pre-written contexts, and work on creating new ones into a library Usage of Behat PHP test framework to automate user steps from test cases Supporting the Head of Testing & QA on leading continuous improvement and other initiatives in line with Learning Platform objectives. About You We're looking for someone who has: A really good understanding of data led software testing The ability to model test data and design testing scenarios Experience of working as a software tester within a technical environment Experience of test case creation and execution, a good understanding of bug tracking systems Experience or a real interest in test automation preferably Gherkin/Cucumber, Behat/Selenium – and would like a chance to take this further Unix/Linux usage at a command line Knowledge of SQL A knowledge of server technologies May have previously used Moodle/Totara or any other LMS.
